About Emily
Hello there! My name is Emily Rae Fealy, and I am an accomplished musician based in the Bay Area. My musical journey began at the age of five, and I developed a deep love for choral and liturgical music through both youth and professional choirs.
I started my academic pursuits at Diablo Valley College in 2012, earning my Associate’s Degree in Music while still in high school. During my time at DVC, I discovered my passion for musical theater, art songs, opera, music composition, and songwriting.
In 2019, I attended the University of British Columbia’s Summer Vocal Workshop, where I gained invaluable insights and mentorship from seasoned professionals in the opera community. This experience solidified my commitment to a career in vocal performance.
In 2020, I earned my Bachelor’s of Music in Vocal Performance from Sonoma State University, with a specialized focus on vocal pedagogy. This training equipped me with advanced skills as both a performer and an educator.
Today, I passionately teach voice and beginner piano throughout the Bay Area. I am committed to continuous growth, actively refining my skills to ensure a vibrant future in the realm of music. I look forward to sharing my passion for music with you and helping you on your musical journey!

“I didn’t want my son to be turned off to piano because of all the practicing. Lots of work but not a ton of play. James brings enthusiasm and joy to the discipline. He picked up my son’s style and personality, and could flow according to my son’s uniqueness/playfulness.”

“My biggest concern is if my kids don’t enjoy and have no progress over a significant amount of lessons time. So far your role as a teacher has been very helpful in making my kids interested & focused on their lessons”
