Finding the first notes
Your child will learn how to hold the cello and bow comfortably, position their fingers, and create their first clean, steady tones. These early successes will set the stage for developing good technique.
Playing the first melodies
As they grow more comfortable, your child will start playing simple scales and familiar melodies. With fun, play-based exercises, they’ll connect the notes on the page to the music they create.
Creating dynamic sounds
They’ll learn to use both hands in harmony, create smoother tones, and explore dynamics like loud and soft, fast and slow, which will help them see how their cello becomes a tool for storytelling through music.
Embracing musical expression
Building on their skills, your child will begin interpreting music with emotion and nuance, exploring various styles to discover what inspires them.
Preparing for performance
In month five, your child will focus on polishing a song and preparing for a performance. This process will help them learn the importance of persistence and attention to detail.
Celebrating the milestones
By the end of six months, your child will make incredible progress and develop a deep connection to their instrument. We’ll celebrate their achievements with a performance to inspire them to dream even bigger for their musical future.
