About Nate
Nate Guinto is a dynamic violinist, educator, and multi-instrumentalist with a deep passion for
music and creativity. A Berkley College of Music graduate (Magna Cum Laude) in Violin
Performance, Nate has built a career blending classical technique with contemporary styles,
including jazz, pop, and hip-hop.
As a dedicated teacher, he has worked with students of all ages. His lessons go beyond
traditional methods, focusing on improvisation, musical expression, and helping students find
their unique voice on their instrument. Whether in private lessons or group settings, he thrives
on inspiring others to explore new possibilities in music.
On stage, Nate has performed with the Berkley Contemporary String Orchestra, jazz
ensembles, and as a solo hip-hop/pop violinist for events and weddings. His ability to adapt
across genres allows him to bring fresh energy to every performance, whether leading an
ensemble or delivering a powerful solo set.
Beyond performing and teaching, Nate also has experience in music production and audio
engineering, having worked as a radio producer. He’s skilled in Pro Tools, Logic, and
Ableton, using his expertise to mix, edit, and create high-quality recordings.
Recognized with the String Department Chair Award from Berkley College of Music, Nate
continues to push musical boundaries—whether he’s on stage, in the studio, or guiding students
on their own musical journeys.

“I didn’t want my son to be turned off to piano because of all the practicing. Lots of work but not a ton of play. James brings enthusiasm and joy to the discipline. He picked up my son’s style and personality, and could flow according to my son’s uniqueness/playfulness.”

“My biggest concern is if my kids don’t enjoy and have no progress over a significant amount of lessons time. So far your role as a teacher has been very helpful in making my kids interested & focused on their lessons”
