About Andres
I’m a vocalist, guitarist, and composer who loves helping students find confidence, creativity, and joy through music. I’ve spent more than 25 years performing, writing, recording, and collaborating with other musicians, and I still feel inspired by how music brings people together.
My background includes studies in jazz, composition, and Afro-Cuban music, which helped shape my appreciation for rhythm, improvisation, and musical expression from many traditions. Today, I perform with The Cat House, a psych/garage rock band, and AC & the Heatwave, a funk cover band.
As a teacher, I aim to create a warm, encouraging space where students feel supported as they grow. Outside of music, I enjoy D&D, hosting gatherings, exploring the Bay Area, spending time outdoors, and relaxing with my cats.
