Daniele Citti

Guitar / Voice

About Daniele

Music has been part of my life for as long as I can remember. I first picked up the guitar at age three, inspired by my father and surrounded by a big Italian family where singing, playing, and sharing music were part of every gathering. That early love for music has grown into a lifelong passion that I’m grateful to share with my students.

I’ve been teaching voice, guitar, bass, piano, and drums for over 11 years, both privately and in music school settings. My approach is encouraging, structured, and student-centered. I want each student to build strong musical skills while feeling confident, creative, and connected to the music they love.

I earned my Bachelor of Arts in Music Theory and Composition from Saint Mary’s College of California, where I also spent four years singing in choral ensembles and performing internationally. Today, I continue to perform throughout the Bay Area and across California with bands rooted in rock, funk, soul, blues, R&B, and Latin-inspired music.

As a teacher, I bring both formal training and real-world performance experience into every lesson. Whether a student is just beginning or growing as a performer, my goal is to create a supportive space where they feel seen, challenged, and inspired. Outside of music, I enjoy building and fixing things, cooking Italian food, karaoke, billiards, video games, and spending time with my cats.

Book With Daniele

“I didn’t want my son to be turned off to piano because of all the practicing. Lots of work but not a ton of play. James brings enthusiasm and joy to the discipline. He picked up my son’s style and personality, and could flow according to my son’s uniqueness/playfulness.”

“My biggest concern is if my kids don’t enjoy and have no progress over a significant amount of lessons time. So far your role as a teacher has been very helpful in making my kids interested & focused on their lessons”
