About Oona
Hi! My name is Oona, and I teach voice, piano, and guitar.
Music has been part of my life for as long as I can remember. I grew up singing and making music with my family, started playing piano as a child, and later picked up guitar while studying abroad in Spain. Since then, music has remained one of my favorite ways to connect with people, express creativity, and build community.
As a songwriter and performer, I’ve written and recorded original music that has been featured in television, film, and even the 2016 Olympics. I continue to perform and create music, and I love bringing that real-world experience into my teaching.
I’ve worked with students of all ages in private lessons, classrooms, and group music programs throughout the Bay Area. My goal is to create a welcoming, encouraging space where students feel comfortable exploring, taking risks, and developing their own musical voice. Whether we’re building foundational skills, learning favorite songs, or creating original music, I believe curiosity and creativity are some of our greatest tools for growth.
Outside of music, I enjoy gardening, writing stories, and always learning something new. I look forward to being part of your musical journey!
